Castaways

The Castaways of Survivor: The Cook Islands

The 16 Castaways will belong to two separate tribes until the merge which will take place after 6 Tribal Councils.

The Tuatara tribe's name comes from the native Cook Island Lanuage: Maori. The name means lizard and represents the many species of lizards that live on the islands. Tuatara's tribal color is red.

The Manu tribe's name also comes from the Maori language. The name means bird, representing the many abundant tropical birds that fly above the beautiful Cook Islands. Manu's tribal color is yellow.

The Ika tribe was a tribe added to the game after Episode 4 when the two tribes were split into a third tribe. The name "Ika" means fish in the Maori langauge. This tribe will be represented by the color black.

The merged tribe is named after the island that Survivor CI is taking place on. It is represented by the color Jungle Green and was chosen by the ambassadors Travis and Diana of the original Tuatara and Manu tribes.

The color that is behind each castaway's picture is represents the tribe that that castaway was originally on before the 3-tribe split (Red for Tuatara and Yellow for Manu).
